However, why are there no bi-directional integrations with ServiceNow CMDB for the same? For example, there are ServiceNow Integrations with SCCM, Intune, Azure, AWS. There is a Service Graph Connector for each of them. However, there isn't a bidirectional integration in this aspect. ServiceNow CMDB is Primarily a Consumer, Not a Source:ServiceNow CMDB is designed to aggregate and normalize data from authoritative sources. It is not intended to be a system of record for external platforms like SCCM or Intune. 2. Service Graph Connectors Are One-Way by Design:Connectors like those for SCCM and Intune are built for unidirectional data ingestion into ServiceNow. They use MID Servers and JDBC or REST APIs to pull data into CMDB tables 3. For example, SCCM Integration Uses JDBC via MID Server.The SCCM integration pulls data from SQL Server using JDBC. It supports full or incremental imports and maps data to CMDB tables. However, SCCM remains the authoritative source and is not written to. Customers must rely on documentation, community best practices, and potentially develop their own integration layers Bidirectional Sync Requires Custom Development:To achieve bidirectional integration, you must implement custom workflows, REST APIs, or orchestration flows that push updates from ServiceNow back to the source systems.
