In such cases, entries are added to the sys_choice table, which requires the element (i.e., the column name of the Flow Data Variable).However, when we save the element value, it unexpectedly trims the last character from the sys_id. As a result, the choice entry loses its reference to the parent Flow Data Variable record. This behavior is also reproducible when performed manually.Please refer to the attached screenshots for more context and visual confirmation of the issue. Although sys_dictionary had the correct configuration (max length = 255), Out of the Box the max length is 80 for this field, it appears that the underlying database column for sys_choice.element was still restricted to 40 characters. This likely caused truncation of longer values, leading to incomplete element values (e.g., question_d5852b0d58ebb0d586940d58ab90d58 instead of the correct question_d5852b0d58ebb0d586940d58ab90d58c). To resolve this, performed the following steps: Navigated to the sys_dictionary table.Located the dictionary entry for sys_choice.element.Temporarily changed the max length from 255 to 254 (anything number more than 41 to 255), saved the record, and then changed it back to 255, saving again. This action effectively refreshed the dictionary metadata, which in turn updated the database schema. As a result, the element field began to accept the full 255 characters as expected.
