The Approval section in header is a Menu Item having scripted list which is pushing a record watcher into record_watchers array on header. The line is as below:t.record_watchers.push({'table':'sysapproval_approver','filter':'sys_idIN' + u.toString() + '^state=requested'});2. This record watcher is being applied on records which are retrieved by getAllMyApprovals() in the filter section.3. This means that only existing records where approval was asked are being watched, hence for any new records created requiring approval are not watched.4. Hence if an existing record is approved the count deceases without refresh, however for new record page refresh has to take place so that record watcher gets applied.5. This is an expected behavior and the record watcher is defined in this way keeping in mind performance as having watchers on a lot of records may lead to performance issues.
