How can you copy History Activities from one record to another? Or change the User name associated with an activity?Issue How can you copy History Activities from one record to another? Or change the User name associated with an activity?ReleaseAllResolutionAt this time, ServiceNow does not provide out-of-the-box (OOB) functionality to copy History Activities from one record to another, or to change the user associated with an activity log. The activity stream is a system-generated audit mechanism designed to maintain data integrity and compliance, and as such, it is not directly editable through standard platform features. If your use case requires copying or modifying activity history (such as journal entries like comments or work notes), this would require custom development. For example, limited aspects such as entries in the "sys_journal_field" table can be programmatically copied using server-side scripts. However, this falls outside of supported OOB behavior and would need to be implemented carefully to avoid impacting data integrity or compliance requirements. Additionally, modifying system fields such as sys_created_by or replicating full audit histories (e.g., field-level changes stored in sys_audit) is not supported and is generally discouraged, especially in production environments.
