After configuring Now Assist with Enhanced Chat on a portal, the search results are not using the same Search Application Configuration record as the Virtual Agent Description When a customer configures an assistant with Enhanced Chat, the Search Application Configuration (SAC) record used for both the Virtual Agent and the portal search results should be the same. This defect results in the SAC for the service portal search results to remain unchanged and continuing to use the pre-existing SAC configured for the portal after completing the Now Assist Guided Setup.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Ensure that the service portal has AIS enabled at the portal record 2. Create a new assistant 3. Configure this assistant with SP Portal - DW Experience [FPE isn't enabled] 4. Information sources tab: Modify the filter condition for Q&A search source Eg: Knowledge base Active = false

5. Save the changes & turn on the assistant

Data set-up: Navigate to knowledge > Knowledge bases Create new Name: Inactive Knowledge base Keep it active false & save Create a new knowledge article from 'knowledge' related list in this inactive knowledge base whose short desc: KB belonging to inactive knowledge base.

6. Open /sp 7. Input search term: inactive

current behaviour: No articles are returned Expected behaviour: As per the search source configuration in step3, the created article should be returned

Observe the search page URL always have "search_application=a3f76e4377853110f9b9f8fb8c5a991d" - pointing to search application of default assistant. It should dynamically pick the right search application as per the assistant configuration.

Workaround User would have to apply the update set to the instance.

Update set includes changes on a) Faceted search widget b) Typeahead widget c) and adds a new script include

Note: Once the update set is applied the above files will be treated as customizations. Customers should update the replace on upgrade field to true on these files in customer upgrade tab. This is to ensure that file is not skipped during upgrade.
