CMDB workspace: CMDB Data Manager Certification Policy: Failed to upload image" Request failed with status code 404". Canvas Error. Description Users are not able to copy and paste the pictures/images in the "instruction" section of a CMDB Data Manager Data Certification policy, in CMDB workspace. UI16 works for this.

This is currently an expected known issue. Our team will fix this as soon as platform/UIB team releases a component that supports attachments, which is currently targeted for Australia time frame.

The current component that we are utilizing, Document display , does not support attachments.

Steps to Reproduce

Confirmed in Xanadu Patch 5 with CMDB Workspace 7.4:

Create a new CMDB data certification policy in the CMDB workspace. Fill anything in until you get to the "Options" section. Try to upload the image in the "Instructions" field. Either use CTRL+C, CTRL+V, or try to drag and drop an image file. Actual behaviour: The image won't appear in the HTML field.

In the session logs, you can see ERROR 404 while making a POST call to the URL: https:// .service-now.com/api/now/attachment/upload

Expected behaviour: UI16 does work for this.

It will upload, and save Workaround This problem is currently under review and is targeted to be fixed in a future release. For the time being, the only workaround that dev team can suggest it s to upload images in UI16.

It will upload, and save We understand it's not an ideal user experience.We are faced with a technical constraint to provide an experience to allow users to add images to the Instructions.
