Since the activate of a security policy is not very obvious in the documentation page, this article walks you through step by step process to activate a security policy which then sends out an email notification to the assigned user(s)/group(s) when the criteria is met. As a system administrator, search for "Security Center" and under "Security Center", click "Notifications" link. When you land on the security policies (notifications) page, you'll notice something similar to the following: On a fresh visit, the above page will have OOB policies which are in "inactive" state. You can create a new policy using the "New custom policy" button, referenced as (1) in the image above. This is how a non-configured policy looks like: You can use the "duplicate" action in the dropdown, referenced as (2) in the above image, to duplicate an existing policy. In order to "activate" the above policy, you'd have to configure it by specifying either a "user" or a "group" or both. Once you have specified an user or a group or both and clicked "update", the policy page will reflect as follows: Once you click on the "activate" button, the policy is activated.
