To remove an employee or third-party user In the user profile drop-down menu, select Manage account and users. On the Now Support tile, select Total Active Users. Search for the employee or third-party user you want to remove. Use the Search User field or apply filters to locate the user. What happens when a user is removed When an employee or third-party user is removed from the system, several automatic actions occur: The system immediately revokes all access roles assigned to the user within the current account. The user is removed from the current account. The user no longer appears in the user list. The user loses all access to data and digital properties associated with the account. For third-party users: Access is revoked to specific platforms including Now Support, Impact Digital, and Now Learning Portal for the current account. The user's employer association remains intact and unaffected. For employees with access to multiple accounts: Access roles are revoked and the employee is disassociated from the current account. For security purposes, the system also automatically revokes and removes the employee from any associated third-party accounts. Requirements for removing users with existing contact roles Some user types have specific prerequisites before they can be removed from the system. Key contacts on your account The system requires each account to maintain at least one designated key contact at all times for administrative purposes. For primary customer admin or primary partner contacts, you must first assign a replacement before completing the removal process. To remove a key contact from your account: Go to the Account Contacts section.Identify the user you want to remove.Assign a new user to the key contact role. After the original user is no longer a key contact, proceed with the standard user removal process. For more information on editing the Account contact list, see the knowledge article, Manage company key contacts in Now Support User Management tool Key contact from an inaccessible account Account access restrictions prevent you from directly modifying key contact assignments on accounts you don't administer. To remove a key contact from an inaccessible account: Contact the user directly.Request that they replace themselves as the key contact on the other account. Users can typically manage their key contact assignments in their profile settings on those accounts. Restoring a user removed in error If you accidentally remove a user, you need to create a new user profile to restore their access. For information on how to create a new user on Now Support, see the knowledge article, Creating and managing Now Support users, granting and removing access, editing user roles.
