Slack Spoke: Error Approving Requests in Slack Workspace - Support and Troubleshooting

Slack Spoke: Error Approving Requests in Slack Workspace Issue When the user attempts to approve a request from the Slack workspace, an error occurs with the message: "This app returned an error."

Upon inspecting the Inbound Transaction logs, the following errors are noted:

*** Start #610215 /api/sn_slack_ah_v2/slack/slackspoke/interactivepayload, user: guest sn_slack_ah_v2 (SlackAuthenticationService): Unable to retrieve property: slackSigningSecret EVERE *** ERROR *** sn_slack_ah_v2: Slack Authentication Failed.Please check the slack configurations table

This error is originating from the OOB Scripted REST resource: Slack Interactive Payloads. SysID:e4a95297dbe24010757af1471d961999 Cause Potential Causes:

The Signing Secret and Slack Application Name may not be correctly configured in Filter Navigator > Slack > Slack Configurations. The "Slack App" field should match exactly with the application name configured in the Request URL field on the 'Interactivity & Shortcuts'/'Slash Commands' pages on the Slack Portal. Ensure that the Signing Secret value (not the Client Secret) is provided. Resolution Validate Configuration:

Navigate to Filter Navigator > Slack > Slack Configurations and ensure that both the Signing Secret and Slack Application Name are correctly set. They should exactly match the configurations in the Slack portal. Verify that the "Slack App" field matches exactly with the application name configured in the Request URL field on the 'Interactivity & Shortcuts'/'Slash Commands' pages on the Slack Portal.
