F5 to ADC Migration - Commercial Customer Re-IP Address FAQ ServiceNow is working to migrate all remaining customers off the legacy F5 load balancing solution and onto our next generation application delivery controller (ADCv3) load balancing. This planned effort is being done to support the retirement of legacy load balancing environments by the end of 2024. There are some F5 load balancing customers that configure static IP addresses in their networks, so these customers will need to update their static IP addresses after they are migrated from F5 to ADCv2.

FAQs :

Q: Will my ServiceNow IP address change and if so, how will I know? A: Yes your IP address will change. If you are using a firewall, or have static or hardcoded IPs in use, then please let us know and we can provide the new IPs to you.

Q: Do I need to do anything after the F5 migration to ADCv2 is completed? A: No , unless you use static IP addressing.

Q: What is the impact to customers during the update? A: Customers may experience up to 1 minute of slowness/delay/impact, but the session will not be terminated.

Q: Are Regulated Market or self-hosted customers impacted? A: Not at this time, as this work is for commercial customers only.

Q: What will happen to sessions in progress during the update? A: Any unsaved and open forms will not be lost since the sessions will not be dropped.
