Execute with timeout does not kill the promise and resource is not released into the pool Description Report exports are failing due to a timeout in parExport server and it is resulting in an outage in our datacenters. All ServiceNow instances are effected by this. Instances cannot export dashboards or reports. Fix is currently in testing and will be rolled out in PARExport Server v1.7.6 (planned 6 March 2024). Until the fix is rolled out the export service is recovering automatically through a scheduled clean up every hour so there is degraded reliability.

Steps to Reproduce

Export of reports, data visualizations or dashboards fail with timeout.

Workaround Until new version of parexport server is rolled out. You can try exporting around half past or on the hour. To completely avoid the issue you can export locally using print friendly view for dashboards and printing to PDF. For reports there is a save as option on the chart top left.
