Temporarily De-Activate the Business Rule "Prevent duplicate Asset/CI mapping" /nav_to.do?uri=sys_script.do?sys_id=ecda3cb6535023005d74ddeeff7b12ef 2. Check/tick the "Admin Override" box on the below ACL so that you can deactivate the OOB existing mapping: ACL: /sys_security_acl.do?sys_id=fcba645b9390120088437a75e57ffbcd&sysparm_view=&sysparm_domain=null&sysparm_domain_scope=record&sysparm_record_row=4&sysparm_record_rows=4&sysparm_record_list=name%3d*%5eORnameSTARTSWITH*.%5eORname%3dalm_asset_ci_state_mapping%5eORnameSTARTSWITHalm_asset_ci_state_mapping.%5eORname%3dsys_metadata%5eORnameSTARTSWITHsys_metadata.%5ename%3dalm_asset_ci_state_mapping%5eORDERBYname 3. Create new mappings as you desire and deactivate the OOB mappings. 4. Once done, revert the changes made to the ACL and re-activate the Business rule. This is especially true since the advent of th Hardware Asset Management app and the CSDM Lifecycle statuses, and directly affects the mappings between those and these legacy status fields. This type of cusotization is therefore not receommended.
