Missing an AI Search result in the UX? Check the EVAM ConfigurationIf there is an article or record that appears in Search Preview, but is not present in the end user experience, either Global Search, Portal, Virtual Agent, or Mobile, it is likely an issue related to EVAM (Entity View Action Mapper). In this example, we will review the process of adding the Now Assist in AI Search Genius Result Card to a configuration, but this can be done for any search result type that does not render in the user interface. First, determine which EVAM Definitions are being used in your end user experience. In this example, we will find the definition used in the /esc portal. In the Filter Navigator find and click on the entry for: Service Portal > Portals. Find the value of the suffix we are using in the portal. In our example, that is esc. Click on the title (Employee Center). Scroll down to the AI Search section of the page and select the navigate to the referenced Search Results Configuration. In our case that is ESC Portal Search. For scoped Portal configurations, you will need to change your application scope. Review the Bundles that are associated with this Configuration under the EVAM View Configuration Bundle M2Ms. If there is not an entry for the result card type, we need to add one. In this case, as mentioned above, we will be adding a Genius Result Card for Now Assist in AI Search. We will add the configuration to the ESC Portal Search Bundle, so click on that entry. In the related list for ESC Portal Search Bundle click NewSet the following fields: Name: Q&A Genius Result - Now Assist for SearchView Template: Q&A Genius Result Template - Now Assist for SearchOrder: 0Table: Search Genius Result [v_search_genius_result]Condition: Type is Q&A - Now Assist for Search Set the following Table FieldsClick on Columns[+] and click the + to the right In the popup window click Q&A – Now Assist for Search In the popup window click Q&A – Now Assist for Search Select title, answer, short_description, number, provider, urlClick Search Genius Result fields Select Type and add it Save the record by right clicking in the title area and selecting Save.
