Out of the box, ServiceNow uses the creation date (sys_created_on) of the task time worked record to determine which date on the time card receives the hours. The system does not use the Work date field on the task time worked record for this purpose. If a user logs time for a previous day but creates the record on a later day, the hours appear on the time card under the later date.
