The main reason for that is because both agents can have much information to share. If at any point on the interaction will check confidential information, the receiving agent can request the original agent to close its interaction, and a message that the agent closed the interaction will be received as a confirmation on the current chat. Most of the time (best practice), the "middle" agent leaves the interaction after the transfer is done and all the information is being shared and both user/new agent will see when that agent leaves the interaction. The way to leave that interaction is closing the interaction using the (X icon) for the agent who is transferring the chat.
