Discovery MSSql DB On Windows pattern: Database reference to Instance Name is not populated Description After Probe to Pattern Migration, the Instance Name [instance_name] reference field on MS SQL DataBase [cmdb_ci_db_mssql_database] records, is not populated by the "MSSql DB On Windows" discovery pattern. This should reference the related MSFT SQL Instance [cmdb_ci_db_mssql_instance] CI.

Steps to Reproduce

Discover a Windows Server running MSSQL Server (requires Pattern migration to have happened on older instances) Actual behaviour: The cmdb_ci_db_mssql_database CIs created will have an empty Instance Name field.

Expected behaviour: The Instance Name field references the parent MSSQL Instance record.

Workaround This problem is currently under review and targeted to be fixed in a future release. Subscribe to this Known Error article to receive notifications when more information will be available.

The attached update set (sys_remote_update_set_e8495427db51b5501dfa2d8913961987.xml) contains a workaround. It adds a step at the end of the shared library "MSSQL populate database table" to populate the reference field.

Warning: This will be treated by the upgrade code as a customization, and skipped in future upgrades, until the files are manually reverted back to the out-of-box version by the customer admin, after upgrading to the fixed version.
