This column is a string field with a maximum length of 40 characters. When a user creates a personal list, sys_created_by is populated with the first 40 characters of the User ID. If the User ID is longer than 40 characters, the stored value is truncated and no longer matches the full User ID, so the list does not display correctly for that user. For example, a User ID of 45 characters is truncated to 40 characters in sys_created_by, which causes the personal list to be invisible to that user. A User ID of 38 characters is stored in full and the list displays correctly.To locate and update the User ID for the affected user: Log in to the ServiceNow instance as an administrator.Search for the affected user by name or partial User ID.Open the user record and review the User ID field.If the User ID exceeds 40 characters, update it to 40 characters or fewerHave the user recreate the personal list and verify it appears in the My List tab.
