Understanding the change approval notes seen in the "Changes" tab in a Service MapDetailsThis KB explains the change approval notes seen in the "Changes" tab in a Service Map For example:1. Host XXXXXXX was changed, with approval... (screenshot below) 1. The term "change approval" comes from the ITSM change management feature. In service mapping whenever a change is being made it is flagged as either an authorized or unauthorized change request. The way in which Service Mapping decides if a change is authorized or not is by using the script "UnauthorizedChangeRequestSNC" and more specifically the function "hasValidChange" with the changed CI as a parameter. "changed, with approval" means that the change request was determined authorized by the script.2. UnauthorizedChangeRequestSNC.hasValidChange(ciId)3. These descriptions are generated automatically based on the authorized/unauthorized flag.4. The approval means the change was authorized by the change management feature.Additional InformationFor further information please refer to the following documentation:https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/utah-it-service-management/page/product/change-management/concept/c_ITILChangeManagement.htmlhttps://docs.servicenow.com/en-US/bundle/utah-it-service-management/page/product/change-management/concept/change-approval-policy.html
