The 'Model' and 'Manufacturer' fields in the cmdb_ci_linux_server table are not getting populated when discovering SELinux machinesSummarySometimes there is an issue with a bad rule in IDM that sets the SELinux user context for the addm users to user_u rather than letting it take the default. This becomes confusing because if you are another users or root and su or sudo to addm, your context gets inherited from your first login, not what addm may have been set as. The user_u context doesn't allow sudo of any type, so you may run into issues with commands such as 'sudo dmidecode' during the course of a discovery and a pattern is run.ReleaseAnyInstructionsThis can be corrected by fixing the rule on IDM servers for the addm user context. You may need to run a script to go to all systems and remove the now locally saved addm SELinux context so that upon the next login, it will just use the default.Related LinksPlease see https://docs.servicenow.com/en-US/bundle/utah-it-operations-management/page/product/discovery/reference/r_DataCollDiscoLinuxComputers.html for more information.
