searching a catalog item is successful only when the user has access to the only category the item is mapped to.Issue If a user does not have access to the only category which is mapped to the catalog item , then the user can access the catalog item using a direct url, but not be able to search. If you observe the below info message on the category field , it says that the catalog item is searchable only when mapped to a category. This also implies that the user should have access to the category to be able to search the same. This is checked and confirmed from the internal product team. ResolutionPlease make sure that the user has access to the category to which the catalog is mapped to be able to search the catalog item.
