Microsoft Project export from Planning console produces an XML file instead of .MPP Description When trying to export a Project from the Planning Console, this produces an XML formatted file instead of .mpp.

The documentation states "You can choose to export the project data in MPP, XML, or CSV file formats. Steps to Reproduce

1. Navigate to pm_project. 2. Open any existing record. 3. In the related links, click on "Planning console". 4. On the console top right, click on three dots and select "Export planning console". 5. In the opened dialog box, click on MS project > Ok. The file downloaded is in xml format and not mpp.

Workaround By design, Project records exported from ServiceNow for MPP are always in XML format, however suitable to be imported into MS Project. This is to make the downloaded XML file to be appropriate for different applications, therefore the interrnal data format is actually different for the target import options.
