Project Task Dependency is not preventing State ChangeIssue Even though a Project Task A has a dependency stating it must start after another Project Task B. You find that the Project Task A can be set to "Work In Progress" State before the other Project Task B has been Completed. Planning Console View: CauseThis is the Expected Behaviour for Project Task Dependencies. The Dependency is only used to ensure that the Planned Dates are calculating in the Order defined by the Dependency. However the Project Task Dependency will not restrict any State Change meaning that if desired a Project Task can be started before the Dependency Date.ResolutionPlease review the above information to understand that this is expected behaviour as per the current Product Design. You can of course Raise an Enhancement Request Here on our Ideas Portal if you are wanting to suggest some alternative behaviour.
