Mobile Publishing Google Play Store - App Metadata (Data Safety) When creating a custom Mobile Publishing app on Google Play for Public distribution, customers are asked for Metadata information under the Data Safety section of Google Play. Customers should fill in the information per their own use-cases for the app, but can leverage ServiceNow's standard data safety answers if applicable. Please see attached for an XLS of ServiceNow's answers to Google, and a CSV that can be used to import these answers directly into Google Play using the "Import from CSV" button on the Data Safety form. These answers can also be used as reference for any Apple metadata questions. October '23 update: Please check the “Analytics” box only for “Why does your app use Advertising ID”. This is not included in the CSV file below. ServiceNow uses Google Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting data which requires an analytics id, therefore ServiceNow apps must declare yes as shown in the screenshot below. Be sure to configure app access with a instance, username, and password for the app reviewer to use. Any screen shots should be of the Customer's instance and configuration to accurately represent the app content to the app reviewers. Please see Google's Content Guidelines here.
