How Model and Manufacturer of device is updated for the SNMP device using DiscoveryModel and Manufacturer is obtained in 2 ways: From the sys_object Object Identifier (OID) of the SNMP classifierWe have defined the Object Identifier (OID) with model,Manufacturer and classifier details Out of the box. From the pattern by querying the deviceThe values that are assigned by the pattern are the ones taken from querying the device. Following completion of this step, the Network Device - Pre Sensor script is activated and calls the "DiscoverySNMPClassification" code, which substitutes the model and manufacturer values assigned by the pattern with the values taken from the SNMP classification, eventually populating the Configuration Item (CI)Discovery would accept the model and manufacturer values received from the SNMP classifier based on the object identifier (OID), and it would only utilize the value we determined from the pattern if the object identifier (OID) had no value.
