Use of Group Managed Service Account (gMSA) as mid server credentialsSince the San Diego release, group managed service account (gMSA) users can be added to Windows MID servers. Reference: Install a MID Server on WindowsHowever, the Mid server user credentials that we use in the conf.xml file of the mid server, the Service Account of the mid server is not supported by gMSA in the San Diego release.For the Mid server user that we use in conf.xml, we currently do not support or advise using any external users at all, regardless of whether they are gMSA/LDAP or regular users.A mid server role user's username and password are set in the config.xml file of the MID Server either manually or during the first installer configuration. The sole method for configuring the login password for a MID Server installation.Therefore, the mid server user credentials will not function with the gMSA configuration.
