Go to the instance 2. Go to Service Catalog > Catalog Client Scripts 3. Select and open one of the scripts, like "onChange of User Type" 4. See the script is gray out and not able to be updated. Be sure the user has assigned the role "catalog_admin" 2. As the script belongs to a catalog item, go to that catalog item setup and be sure the catalog is not Edit in Catalog Builder. 3. If the catalog item is on that state, you will received a message with this: "You cannot edit this item here as it is checked out for editing in Catalog Builder" 4. In that case, just Click on "Cancel Checkout" button and confirm the "Cancel Checkout" Note: Those are some protected scripts by ServiceNow. In that case, nobody can update the item other than a ServiceNow.What does mean that protection?=> Please review this doc which explain that==>> Script protection policyIn these cases, sometimes, we can created a change request for the scripts to remove the policy, but the changes will be under your responsibility as can break the standard behavior.
