At least the tables/fields listed below have a sys_choice values for "windows", that has label "Fenster" in German (de), when it should be "Windows" in any language. There may be more depending on which plugins are installed:

Some tables/fields are correct, with "Windows" as the German value, including:

cmdb_ci_cmp_vm_instance_price.os_type creds_prov_type.cred_type cmdb_ci_os_template.guest_os discovery_spkg_filter.type

Some column labels are also wrong in German, e.g. in _update_sys_documentation_german.xlsx, there is an Agent Client Collector feature field label with the same problem. This refers to whether ACC is installed on microsoft windows:

Symptoms as a result impact any feature utilizing these fields or labels. For example, bad translations for Windows affect higher level features if you installed Software Asset Management Professional (SAMP), opening License Workbench, software models would be displayed as "Microsoft 2016 Standard Fenster" instead of "Microsoft 2016 Standard Windows". Some values are concatenated from several field, that include the bad values, propagating the bad values further.

Steps to Reproduce

Install German language pack in out of the box instance. Install various plugins that may have Operating System related fields, such as CMDB, SAMP, ATF. Go to cmdb_software_product_model. Configure the sys_choice for "Platform" field. Observe there are entries in [de] language for "Windows" with label "Fenster". Workaround This problem has no workaround, is under review and targeted to be fixed in a future release.
