When a user creates a choice with a given label in one domain and then attempts to create an identical choice in a second domain using the Configure Choices method on a form, the second record is not created. The underlying code checks whether a record with that label already exists in sys_choice. If it does, it cancels creation of the second record to prevent duplicates. The choice created in the first domain remains visible across all domains for which the user has visibility (sys_user_visibility). When a choice label already exists in sys_choice, the platform cancels creation of any duplicate record regardless of domain context. The steps below reproduce the behaviour. Log in to an instance that has domain separation enabled.Grant a user visibility access to any two domains using sys_user_visibility.Impersonate that user. While in the first domain, open a form and select Configure Choices on the target field. Create a new choice.Switch to the second domain and select Configure Choices on the same field used in step 4. Attempt to create a choice with the same label.Note that the duplicate choice is not created.To confirm the result, navigate to sys_choice and search for the choice created in step 4. The record is visible across all domains for which the user has visibility.
