Virtual Agent Automatic Account Linking in MS Teams integrations not working DescriptionPer below SN article, starting Quebec release auto linking featured will be enabled with MS Teams & ServiceNow Live Agent Chat. This feature links messaging users to their ServiceNow accounts, which means that your users are not prompted to link to their ServiceNow accounts when they engage with the virtual agent, as long as they use the same email account for their messaging and ServiceNow accounts. https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/quebec-now-intelligence/page/administer/virtual-agent/concept/va-adapter-autolinking.html We are on a Quebec instance and followed all the steps from above article yet the Virtual Agent Automatic Account Linking in MS Teams integrations not working for user(s) even when using the same email address from the Teams address.Release or EnvironmentQuebec onwardsCauseWhen reviewing Existing Linked Account (provider_user_map) and Channel User Profiles (sys_cs_channel_user_profile), there are 2 records found for affected user in Channel User Profiles for Teams - one is active and other is false. The Virtual Agent Automatic Account Linking feature runs for the very 1st time when user start interacting with the VA Bot. Considering above artefacts, it appears that user was auto linked earlier and then run logout from VA Bot which in turn unlink the user.Next time when user start interacting with the BOT, Auto linking does not trigger and user has been proposed to manually link their account.ResolutionPlease follow below steps respectively and it should fix the issue:a) Run "logout" from the BOT b) Delete the Channel User Profile records (2 records are there) for the affected user c) Delete the respective Linked account for the affected userThis brings the situation back to square one. Now when user starts interacting with the Bot, the auto-link feature will link the user automatically. NOTE: ======= Please make sure Automatically link ServiceNow user profiles checkbox is enabled on Messaging Apps Integrations.
