SNMP timeouts when querying non-existent OIDs in Cisco ASAsSummaryYou note that when discovering Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (observed in v9.14) that SNMP is timing out/non-response on Step 1.1.51 (ipNetToMedia) in the Cisco Next Generation Firewall Pattern When analyzing packet captures we can see that the Cisco ASA never returns a SNMP response to the query. This looks to be an edge case with Cisco. If the workaround steps are not acceptable then we recommend opening a support case with Cisco for further investigation.ReleaseAllInstructionsThe following steps can be deactivated in the Cisco Next Generation Firewall to allow for successful discovery, with the following caveats: 1.1.51 Disabling this impacts all switches with regards to gathering data necessary for Routing/Switching data. This should be a non-issue, however, as Network Switch and Network Router patterns will re-query for this in their specific implementation if it's not set from the shared library 1.2.27 Disabling this prevents gathering IPv6 data for all network devices. If this isn't needed compared to properly discovering the firewalls then this can be disabled 6 Disabling this prevents gathering the hardware_status for the firewall
