Use Case 1: Create an Application Service without any methods added. a. Create an Application Service - "CSDM > Manage Technical Service > Application Service" b. Add a Business Application on the "Set Relationships". c. Click Next d. In the "Populate the Application Service", just Click Next. e. In the "Preview the Service", click Done. --> The Application Service is created as expected.

Use Case 2: Create an Application Service with 4 Manual methods added. a. Create an Application Service - "CSDM > Manage Technical Service > Application Service" b. Add a Business Application on the "Set Relationships". c. Click Next d. In the "Populate the Application Service", add 4 manual Services (windows servers or linux servers). e. Click Next. f. In the "Preview the Service", click Done. --> The Application Service is created as expected with the 4 manual methods.

Use Case 3: Update an Application Service and add 2 manual methods a. Open an Application Service - "CSDM > Manage Technical Service > Application Service" b. Verify that Business Application is associated on the "Set Relationships". c. Click Next d. In the "Populate the Application Service", add 2 manual Services (windows servers or linux servers). e. Click Next. f. In the "Preview the Service", click Done. --> The Application Service is updated as expected with the 2 new manual methods.

Use Case 4: Update an Application Service and add 3 manual methods a. Open an Application Service - "CSDM > Manage Technical Service > Application Service" b. Verify that Business Application is associated on the "Set Relationships". c. Click Next d. In the "Populate the Application Service", add 3 manual Services (windows servers or linux servers). e. Click Next. f. In the "Preview the Service", click Done. --> The Application Service is NOT updated and encountered the "A problem occurred during service update."

Use Case 5:

a. Open the records from "cmdb_ci_service record" b. Click on "Convert to Application Service" c. Open the converted record from "csdm_app_services" table d. Try updating the record and observe the error "A problem occurred during service update."

Workaround This problem has been fixed in Rome and there is no workaround suggested for the same. Please upgrade to the version where the fix is available. Related Problem: PRB1487922
