How Inactivity Monitor works?SummaryIf a record has not been updated for a defined length of time, an inactivity monitor triggers an event.1) When an incident is created or updated, the system looks at the inactivity monitor definitions and creates a sys_trigger event with a next_action time set to when the inactivity monitor duration is hit.2) When the sys_trigger job gets executed, it then creates an event 'incident.inactivity' which is fired by Escalation Engine. These event are system generated escalation event when sys_trigger job is executed.3) The purpose of this event 'incident.inactivity' is for our users to help drive further action for the incident, for example, sending out email notifications by creating one.4) Ref.
