Software Asset Management - Deprecated client script "Set fields readonly when not new record" on Entitlement table in QuebecDescriptionDuring upgrade to Quebec of our sub-production environments some customer found that the client script “Set fields readonly when not new record" was “Deprecated" during the upgrade. This client script was part of alm_license (Entitlement) table, which used to make certain form fields read-only on a saved Entitlement record form. This article describes why this client script deprecated. Release or EnvironmentQuebecCauseIt is deprecated in Quebec release part of Edit entitlement feature where Entitlement form has made certain fields editable (publisher part number, software model, license type, purchased rights) even for a saved or created entitlement record, which were readonly in previous releases. In Quebec release, part of this Edit entitlement feature on the ‘Entitlement’ (alm_license) form - user can edit certain fields (i.e. publisher part number, software model, license type, purchased rights) even after creation of entitlement record i.e. on a saved entitlement record. “Set fields readonly when not new record” client script used to make fields non-editable (or read-only) earlier on a saved entitlement record in previous releases, which was no longer required so removed it.ResolutionNA - Removing this client script wouldn’t be having any other SAM feature impact. Additional InformationEntitlement fields are editable are mentioned in the Quebec documentation here - https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/quebec-it-asset-management/page/product/software-asset-management2/task/track-software-rights.html
