How To Copy Contents of Word Doc To Knowledge Article


How can the contents of a Microsoft Words document be copied to a knowledge article and maintain formatting? 


There are 3 ways that the contents of a Microsoft Word document can be placed into a knowledge article body:

  1. When the contents of the Word document are copy/pasted, the user is prompted with the option to keep the formatting.
  2. The article can be created directly from a Microsoft Word document
  3. The UI action 'Upload New Version' can be used (Requires Knowledge Management Advanced plugin )
