<h2>Authentication Failures on "Test Credentals" post discovery</h2><br/><div style="overflow-x:auto"><article><div ><h3 >Issue </h3><section><ul><li>"Test Credentials" works fine and post discovery (be it is a success or a failure) the "Test Credential" never succeeds, causing the discovery failure there after.</li></ul></section></div><div ><h3 >Release</h3><section><ul><li>All</li></ul></section></div><div ><h3 >Resolution</h3><section><ul><li>This may be due to the credential affinity not being created correctly.<br /><br /></li><li>Due to this, initially when you run "Test Credentials" against an IP, that goes to success but once you run a discovery on the same IP and run"Test Credentials" again, it never works.<br /><br /></li><li>As a quick workaround, you can import the attached updated set "Create Credential Affinity.xml" and commit it.<br /><br /></li><li>The above step creates an UI action on the discovery_credential records available on the instance.<br /><br /> <ul><li>Click "Create Credential Affinity"<br /><br /><img src="/sys_attachment.do?sys_id=ebfe3d37db6fa850fa192183ca9619a5" width="540" height="476" /><br /><br /></li><li>Give it the IP for which the affinity has to be created, and it will create an affinity for all MID servers<br /><br /><img src="/sys_attachment.do?sys_id=b73ff1b7db6fa850fa192183ca96196a" width="546" height="217" /><br /><br /></li><li>It should check for IP ranges of each MID and only create affinities for MIDs that might be used<br /><br /><img src="/sys_attachment.do?sys_id=c67fb1f7db6fa850fa192183ca961950" width="549" height="91" /><br /><br /></li></ul> </li><li>This should fix the above issue</li></ul></section></div></article></div>
