'Failed to update the record' error is displayed and items cannot be updated in Alignment Planner WorkspaceIssue In Quebec, the Alignment Planner Workspace is released. One aspect of Alignment Planner Workspace is Roadmap Planning. One of the actions that can be taken in Roadmap Planning is Rescheduling or editing items on the planner timeline. If you update or edit an item (a Project or Demand), you may see an error 'Failed to update the record' ReleaseQuebec+CauseIf you see this error, it may be for one of the following reasons: Roadmap preferences for pm_project have been updated for 'Start date field' or 'End date field' If you have updated the above fields to 'Planned Start date (start_date)' or 'Planned end date (end_date)', as long as a Project has a child when attempting to move or update it, you will see this error as OOB and as per design, once a Project has children Planned dates begin to be read-only and cannot be written to. Additionally, updating Start date field or End date field can cause immense issues if this were possible. If the user who is updating the scheduled item in the Roadmap Planner does not have access to the base entity. If the user is attempting to update a Project, but does not have a role that allows the typical write access to a Project, you will see this issue. Provide the user the it_project_manager role to test.
