Software Instance associated to Hardware with reference to Software can throw error using nested payload processing in IH/ETLDescriptionWhen using nested payload processing in IH/ETL and a collection type entity is associated to an entity which is not a collection references mapped on the collection entity will cause an exception during processing. The most common case for this is when mapping Software, Software instance, and Hardware (or a child of Hardware, typically Computer). If Software and Software Instance are both collections and Hardware is not and Software Instance is associated to Hardware mapping the "software" field on Software Instance to Software will cause an exception to be thrown.Steps to Reproduce 1. If associate software instance class to software class and map "install_on" field to computer class, it would work. But if associate software instance class to computer class and map "software" field to software class (software instance class path remain same), then RTE exception.2. if associate software instance class to computer class and map "install_on" field to computer class, gives RTE exception3. if associate software instance class to software class and map "install_on" field to computer class and map "software" field to software class as well, then after running transform, "install_on" field would not be associated to computer classWorkaround1. If Software Instance is associated to Hardware instead have Software Instance associate to Software and map the Software Instance field "installed_on" to the Hardware entity. Do not map the "software" field. 2. If Software Instance is associated to Software and the Software Instance "software" field is mapped to the Software entity then un-map the "software" field, it is not required because the IRE will infer this reference. Make sure the Software Instance "installed_on" field is mapped to the Hardware entity.Related Problem: PRB1457374
