CI name for Windows servers is inconsistent during discoveryIssue The configuration item (CI) name for a Windows server changes its value when discovery runs. The following steps help to identify and resolve this issue. ReleaseAll releasesResolutionOpen the CI record and verify the name updates in the history list.Confirm whether the CI name is changing to different values.If so, navigate to the discovery_device_history table and search for the CI name.From the results, identify whether multiple IP addresses are being updated with the same CI name from the list, despite having different current CI names.From the list, review a few records to see if they have matching Serial Number and Serial Number Type. Confirm that the Discovery and Identification and Reconciliation engine (IRE) processes are working as expected. Investigate the device-level configuration to determine why multiple IPs are pointing to the same CI causing the issue.
