"Discover now" from the CI FormSummaryWhen executing "Discover now" from the CI Form and encountered the message "Can't discover CI because this IP Address is not found in any Discovery Schedules". How it works: When "Discover now" is clicked, the active discovery schedules are checked to find one with a range that matches the IP address of the CI. It then runs the discovery based on the settings and MID Server specified in that discovery schedule. This also depends on the IP ranges defined for a MID Server. There are some clear errors in the application node logs when clicking "Discover now", and are coming from the function that works out which discovery schedule to use. - Get on-screen errors "Can't discover CI because this IP Address is not found in any Discovery Schedules" for other servers. - No active discovery schedules set up on this instance at all. The inactive ones do not reference any MID Server. Solution: - To use "Discover now" from the CI form, is to first set up Discovery Schedules for these servers or IPs, which has not been done yet on this instance. - Need to set up MID Server, adding the IP ranges, then discovery schedules set to scan those ranges first.Related Links- Another option is running 'Quick Discovery' instead of from the Discovery Schedules list. This will work even if you have no active discovery schedules.
