MID server cluster causes "Did not get a response from the MID server" error with SCCM data sourcesIssue <!-- /*NS Branding Styles*/ --> .ns-kb-css-body-editor-container { p { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } span { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } h2 { font-size: 24pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h3 { font-size: 18pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h4 { font-size: 14pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } a { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718F); } a:hover { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #024F69); } a:target { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #032D42); } a:visited { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718f); } ul { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } li { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } img { display: ; max-width: ; width: ; height: ; } } When connecting a MID server to SCCM data sources, SCCM scheduled jobs fail with the error "Did not get a response from the MID server". This occurs because the SCCM data source is using a MID server that is part of a MID server cluster. External data sources such as LDAP, export sets, and JDBC require a dedicated MID server, not a clustered one. This also applies to the Service Graph Connector for SCCM (SG-SCCM). Please refer to the document below to verify the configuration - https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/madrid-servicenow-platform/page/product/mid-server/reference/mid-server-clusters.html Also note that External data sources like LDAP, Export sets, JDBC need to be used with the dedicated MID Servers. It is advised to enable the dedicated mid server with the JDBC data sources. Note:This is also true for Service Graph Connector for SCCM (SG-SCCM) Resolution<!-- /*NS Branding Styles*/ --> .ns-kb-css-body-editor-container { p { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } span { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } h2 { font-size: 24pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h3 { font-size: 18pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h4 { font-size: 14pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } a { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718F); } a:hover { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #024F69); } a:target { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #032D42); } a:visited { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718f); } ul { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } li { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } img { display: ; max-width: ; width: ; height: ; } } Assign a dedicated MID server to the SCCM data source. The dedicated MID server must not be part of a MID server cluster. Verify the MID server cluster configuration using the following ServiceNow documentation: [MID server clusters](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/r/servicenow-platform/mid-server/t_ConfigureAMIDServerCluster.html The error "Did not get a response from the MID server" can also result from network connectivity issues between the MID server and the SCCM SQL database (for example, a firewall blocking TCP port 1433), insufficient permissions for the MID server service account, or the MID server becoming overloaded by concurrent requests. If the dedicated MID server assignment does not resolve the issue, also verify network connectivity and firewall rules from the MID server host to the SCCM SQL Server on port 1433, confirm the MID server service account has the necessary database and local permissions, and check the ECC queue for stuck or hung processing requests. If multiple SCCM scheduled jobs run concurrently and overload the MID server worker threads, stagger the scheduled jobs so they do not all run at the same time.
