Orphaned relationships get created where the parent/child SYS id is null/empty/undefined Description Under some circumstance Discovery/IRE creates orphaned relationships where the parent/child SYS id is null/empty/invalid/undefined.

Steps to Reproduce

Creating a new CMDB CI relation (cmdb_rel_ci) passing a null value in the below Pattern Pre/Post Script:

Solaris OS - Post Sensor LB Create Relation Between VIPs and Apps Windows OS - Post Sensor Create relation between MSSQL Instance to Windows Cluster Hosts - Post Sensor

Workaround Add a null check before creating the cmdb CI relation using the attached update set .
