Catalog Variable showing in SCTASK from a different RITMIssue Scenario: REQ with a few RITMs in them. 3 of the RITM records are for the same item. In the tasks created for these RITMs, there's a variable that is only selected and visible on one RITM that has been copied into the SCTASKS of the other 2 RITMs. This has caused a lot of confusion for the staff working on those tasks and they closed the tasks thinking this is an invalid request.CauseAll the affected SCTASKS were created via the workflow activities on their respective parent RITMS All the RITMs were for the same catalog item and were using the same workflow The workflow activities that were creating the SCTASKs all have the variable "other_software" included in the "Add variables" section so all SCTASKs under these RITMs had the variable displayed.ResolutionVariable is included in the workflow activity that creates the SCTASKsAnalysis showed the Catalog Item "Licenced Software Installation" has the Variable Set "GSTT - Non-standard software" with the variable "Please specify other software" ( "other_software")The SCTASKs are created via workflow activity in the Workflow on RITM "GSTT Item Request Software"There were 3x workflow activities in the WF 1.Catalog Task >"Check License" 2.Catalog Task > "Deploy item to user" and 3.Catalog task > "Asset Mgmt. Fulfills order" All these wf activities have the variable "other_software" included in the "Add variables" section. All 3 RITMs, RITM0295319, RITM0295320, RITM0295321 use the same WF above and therefore the tasks created will have the "other_software" variable displayed. The variable is not being copied from RITM0295319 as assumed by the customer, it is being added via the workflow activity. Either remove the variable from the wf activity or modify the wf activity or add logic to control which record/s the variable will be displayed on.
