Step 3: Review Firewall Rules On the target Windows server, open Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security (wf.msc).Check the Inbound Rules for any rules that block access to the psscript output files or SMB file sharing.If blocking rules exist, modify or disable them to allow file sharing over port 445.Alternatively, create an allow rule for inbound traffic on port 445 if none exists. Step 4: Verify the Fix In ServiceNow Discovery, re-run the credential test for the target Windows server.If the test passes, run a full discovery scan on the target.Verify that the psscript output file is now retrieved successfully. Additional Information Port 445 is required for Server Message Block (SMB) file sharing, used by Discovery to retrieve remote files.Ensure the discovery credentials have administrative privileges on the target server.If the issue persists, verify that the MID Server has network connectivity to the target server on port 445 (use Test-NetConnection -ComputerName <target_server> -Port 445 on the MID Server)
