By design, the scope selector only lists applications developed directly on the instance by an admin — typically those with scope names prefixed with x_. Applications that are part of the ServiceNow core or product suite, such as those prefixed with sn_ (for example, Human Resources: Core / sn_hr_core), do not appear in the scope dropdown. This limitation exists to preserve the integrity of managed and privileged scopes, which are protected to ensure consistent behavior across upgrades and patches. In technical terms, scopes from sys_app records are available in the selector; scopes from sys_store_app records are not. To work around this limitation, use one of the following options: Create a Fix Script in the required application scope and run it to execute logic within that scope.Create a Cross-Scope Privilege to execute logic within the restricted scope.
