Config data setsSweagle enables the ability to group config as a CDS (Config data set). This set of data is tracked, audited, validated and ready to export in any required format. The Config data set view is a library of data. New data which enters a CDS through being added or existing data being modified is checked by the validation engine. Errors &/or warnings are shown within a pending view inside the Config data set. Navigate to the Config data sets screen: The config data sets screen shows which configuration data is available to your user. It is filtered by your user rights and any applied workspaces. You can filter CDS's on Stored Status & on the Pending Status. Config Data sets: Major functionality. Export Snapshot: Will immediately export to a file the latest snapshot. You can choose which format to export in. Data will then be downloaded. You an also download a difference report in various formats. Evolution will show a plot graph of the amount of config data, nodes and included data across time. Spots on the graph indicate snapshots. Hovering over the points will give statistics. Clicking on the red, green or blue spots (at the top) will remove or add them to the graph. History: Under the evolution graph, a history of each snapshot is displayed. The green or red icon indicates feedback on the quality of the config. Green is good feedback. Red would indicate problems during this deployment. Hovering over the history of a snapshot will show the Tag, description. Clicking on a snapshot gives details on it's feedback score, whether it has been consumed and all data within that snapshot. For large amounts of data, use the Green, Blue, and Red icons on the top line to filter on Added, modified, and deleted data. You can load snapshots or compare versions using Load more or Compare Versions. Compare Versions Choose a primary and secondary version to compare from the drop down. Sweagle will auto load modifications and present them. Results can be exported from the top. Change Compare Method will change the way Sweagle represents the data: Config Data Browser The config data browser enables you to search, filter and check history on specific config data sets and config data items. Use the Filter on Node, Config Data Keys or Config Data Values to refine results on the CDS. The blue arrow will navigate you to the data model the specific node on the datamodel tree. All Keys & Values have a Magnifying glass symbol. Clicking this gives you the history of a specific Config data Item. It will show the changeset feedback status. Clicking the Blue arrow will take you to the approved changeset. Graphical Browser The graphical browser is a graphical representation of your config data set. It represents the dependancies of your node structure & data. Clicking on each node will either show additional nodes and relationships or the Config data items being stored. Pending Data: Data that is awaiting approval into the snapshot is put in under the Waiting Pending Data tab. Clicking here will take you to view the changes which are coming up. This view will show any warnings or errors. It allows you to Store the snapshot as a new version. Validator Browser: This enables you to manually run validators against the CDS. You can add input values under each Validator if it requires them. You can also parse Extra config data set as input for your validator. The error messages will display on the right (If a validator finds issues with with configuration data). Export Browser The export browser shows different ways to export data from Sweagle. The parsers give the ability to represent the config data in different ways. Parses are built within the Admin panel and can be assigned to different Config Data Sets. Input values are specific to each parser. The Tagged version, allows you to retrieve data from different snapshots via their tag.The preferred export type gives you the type of format to follow. The Extra config data set input - allows you to export multiple config data sets. The export preview shows an preview of the data format and how it will be exported. You can download instantly from here (or copy and paste of course). Changing the export type will change how the data is represented here. The Export Examples show API examples in different formats. Curl, Powershell, Python & Perl. You can copy and use these directly from an external execution tool (Terminal, Windows Powershell, etc.). Please note, the Bearer Token will expire unless you replace it with an API user token.
