The flow explainedThere are 3 main areas in Sweagle where metadata is available: Incoming data changesThe "current" data model and "pending" dataThe consumable "snapshot data" Incoming data Any new or changed metadata (nodes or metadata items) come into the system through one or several data change sets. A data change set is opened, changes are applied, and then authorized users have the possibility to "approve" a data change set, or in case of blocking issues first resolve those issues. The current data model is only updated once the data change set is approved. Current data the full data model with all the dimensions, nodes, and metadata as it currently is defined. It contains all the changes from all the data change sets over time. Users can navigate through the data model, view all metadata, or resolve any errors and warnings(if there are any). Pending data Any changes that are in the current model but which are not yet stored in the snapshot are visible as "pending data". That is where users can see the total list of all changes from various incoming data change sets. Any errors, missing data, or broken data sets can be viewed from the "pending data" screens. Stored data For every metadata set, the platform shows if there are any errors or warnings in either the "current data" as well as in the "valid snapshot". The platform highlights any metadata sets for which incoming data is available in the current data compared to the last valid snapshot that is stored.
