Setting a new default Project Schedule - Support and Troubleshooting

Setting a new default Project Schedule Issue Project managers and users may not wish to utilize the default, OOB Project Schedule when configuring their processes.

*Note that when [a Project does not] have a schedule assigned to a project, it automatically uses a 24hr schedule : "Without an assigned schedule, a project calculates a day as a full 24 work hour"

Cause Default Project Schedules may be changed by updating the following:

1. The system property: com.snc.project.default_schedule

2. The schedule sys_ids listed in the Default Value code seen in the 'schedule' Dictionary Entry (specifically, the variable value for 'defaultProjectScheduleId')

*Note that some features in various UIs may not function as expected when not using the OOB Project Schedule 'Project Management Schedule'

Resolution Updating the System Property 'com.snc.project.default_schedule'

Navigate to sys_properties.list Filter for name= com.snc.project.default_schedule Update value to include the schedule sys_id you wish to update to (Naturally, you will need to copy the sys_id of the schedule you wish to use)

Updating the Default value of the 'schedule' Dictionary Entry(field)

Right-click on the Schedule field on any Project (right-click the actual text 'Schedule') Configure Dictionary Select the 'Default Value' section Update the sys_id value for the Variable 'defaultProjectScheduleId'
