Neither the service gets created nor the MID is created.

One of the reasons for this being, the installed "PSReadLine" version is "1.2.0"

To overcome this issue, download the attached “PSReadline” folder into “C:\Program Files\WindowsPowershell\Modules\”

Overwrite the current existing "PSReadline" folder with the extracted one.

Close all the active PowerShell sessions

Confirm "PSReadline" is now on version "2"

Post the above, perform a normal Manual MID Upgrade following the below article

https://support.servicenow.com/kb_view.do?sysparm_article=KB0713557

The MID installation should be successful and will be up and running good.

Additional Information

During the Orlando MID installation/upgrade, it is always advisable to execute the "installer.bat" through the command prompt by running it as Administrator.
