The reason is that the asset id we received from Rapid7 was not coming back as resolved so as to close the vulnerable items. We are getting different asset id from Rapid7 for the same CI and as a result, we were creating a new vulnerable item for it.That's why there are two vulnerable items for a pair of CI and Vulnerability, one with the state as open and the other with the state as closed. There are two discovered items which are pointing to the same CI. We query based on Asset Id before creating VI and since the asset id was different even though CI was same, we create a new VI.And then if we are not getting the asset id, then the VI will not be closed for asset id 1.Another problem is that there are many records of VI and Vulnerability in different domains.
