Upon closing the browser (not quitting, but just closing the browser window), they needs to re-authenticate. When trying to access the instance URL, again (they get re-directed to ADFS) Release<!-- /*NS Branding Styles*/ --> .ns-kb-css-body-editor-container { p { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } span { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } h2 { font-size: 24pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h3 { font-size: 18pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h4 { font-size: 14pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } a { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718F); } a:hover { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #024F69); } a:target { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #032D42); } a:visited { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718f); } ul { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } li { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } img { display: ; max-width: ; width: ; height: ; } } All releases Cause<!-- /*NS Branding Styles*/ --> .ns-kb-css-body-editor-container { p { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } span { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } h2 { font-size: 24pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h3 { font-size: 18pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h4 { font-size: 14pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } a { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718F); } a:hover { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #024F69); } a:target { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #032D42); } a:visited { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718f); } ul { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } li { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } img { display: ; max-width: ; width: ; height: ; } } Default flow followed by the platform is as below: a) Assume - "User A" tries to login to the https://instance.service-now/spb) It validates for active session for the "UserA" in the instance, if yes it takes the user to Instance homepage.c) If active session is not present , It redirects the user to the IDP (ADFS) for authentication.d) IDP(ADFS) checks for the active session for the "User A" - If yes - IDP sends the "SAML Response" back to Instance and instance validates the SAML response and takes the user to Instance homepage.e) If IDP (ADFS) don't have an active Session - It presents the IDP (OKTA) login page for the user to login. Once user authenticates against IDP - IDP sends the "SAML Response" back to Instance and instance validates the SAML response and takes the user to Instance homepage. So the steps on this case would be: at a certain time, you open Chrome and go to the instance URL (https://instance.service-now.com/) where you will be signed in by SSO. (ADFS)at a certain time, you close the Chrome on Windows.at a certain time, you reopen the Chrome then access the instance URL (https://instance.service-now.com/), only if there is an active session on SSO side the page is opened directly without SSO singing window. As per the logs it looks this is not happening in your case. The reason session does not persist while accessing native page after closing browser on Windows is related with the fact that the IDP portal has a checkbox of 'persistent browser session'.
